Merkur Group convened 43 executives from its global divisions for a two-day regulatory workshop at Benkhausen Castle in Germany on June 30. The training session aimed to standardize compliance procedures and strengthen operational coordination across international markets.
The agenda addressed cybersecurity frameworks, risk management protocols, and the application of artificial intelligence in regulatory workflows. Participants reviewed these topics through structured presentations, a panel discussion with representatives from Merkur’s overseas subsidiaries, and a digital assessment. An evening networking segment was organized to facilitate direct communication between staff members based in Germany, Spain, England, Malta, the United States, and Australia.
Implementation of Workshop Findings
Ludwig Beckmann, Chief Compliance Officer of the Merkur Group, confirmed that the perspectives gathered during the sessions will be integrated into daily operations. He stated that "the ideas and diverse perspectives gained during the workshop will now be incorporated into our day-to-day work and help us to continuously improve collaboration and existing processes."
The event took place at Merkur’s in-house training facility. Information regarding the workshop was published on July 14, 2026, by Richard Hollis.
