Maryland Lottery and Gaming reported a $523.3m sports betting handle for June 2026, marking a 29.6% year-over-year increase. The monthly total represents a slight decline from the $535.4m recorded in May.
Wagering Distribution and Fiscal Results
Online platforms accounted for $515.4m of the wagering volume, while retail locations processed $8m. Operators retained $468.8m in winnings, resulting in a 10.4% hold percentage. Taxable winnings reached $38.2m, generating $7.6m in state contributions for the month.
The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund received $5.7m from the June allocation. Across the full fiscal year 2026, which runs from July 2025 to June 2026, the sports wagering sector delivered $132.3m in state contributions, reflecting a 48.8% annual growth.
The state’s six licensed casinos reported $156.8m in combined revenue from slot machines and table games during June. This figure marks a 2.4% year-over-year decrease and follows the $170m recorded in May. Previous monthly reports indicated steady expansion in the state’s gaming sector before the June figures were released.
